CVS deal scenarios for the week of 5/11/08
I need diapers this week for my 2 year old and my 2 month old, and thankfully CVS has Huggies on sale for $8.99, so the theme of this week's deals is "Diapers on the Cheap!".
(My CVS takes expired coupons until they 'beep", which is two weeks after they expire, so I am able to use last weekend's $4/$20 coupon still. But for those of you who aren't able to use that coupon, I wrote up these scenarios using the $4/$20 Welcome coupon that you receive when you register your card on CVS.com. Also, Slickdeals has some not-yet-released $/$$ coupon links posted on their site. If these are released this week, I will post the links here on my blog, and you can use that $4/$20 coupon on these deals!)
Scenario #1:
$8.99 Huggies Pull Ups
$3.99 x3 Colgate 360 toothbrushes ($11.97, earns $11.97 ECBs)
$20.96 before coupons
-$4/$20 Welcome coupon
-$2 Pull-Ups printable
-$2, $1 off Colgate toothbrush printable x2
-$1, $1 off Colgate 360 from a recent newspaper insert
Total after coupons: $11.96 plus tax
Earns $11.97
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scenario #2:
$8.99 Huggies Goodnights
$2.99 x 4 Colgate Total plus Whitening toothpaste ($11.96, earns $8 ECBs)
$20.95 before coupons
-$4/$20 Welcome coupon
-$2 Pull-Ups printable
-$3, $1.50 off Colgate Total printable x2
-$2, $1 off Colgate Total from a recent newspaper insert x2
Total after coupons: $9.95
Earns $8 ECBs
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scenario #3:
$8.99 Huggies diapers
$3.79 x3 CVS Non Drowsy Allergy Relief 5 ct ($11.37, earns $11.37 ECBs)
$20.36 before coupons
-$4/$20 Welcome coupon
-$3/$10 CVS Brand CRT from coupon printer
-$1 Huggies coupon from recent newspaper insert
Total after coupons: $12.36
Earns $11.37 ECBs
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I could probably make up a few different scenarios similar to these, incorporating the free-after-ECBs monthly and weekly deals (Aquafresh, or Tums Quik Pak). With the $4/$20 and the Huggies coupons, along with MQs for the other items, it shouldn't be too hard to stock up on diapers for very cheap! If I just do the above deals on both mine and my husband's cards, I'll have 6 packs of diapers for less that $6!
on scenario 2 it shows you use a 2 dollar off pull ups coupon will they acaully take that for goodnights cause i always thought you had to use the goodnights coupons for the goodnight??? thanks
Christy-
Great question! I suppost this could vary depending on your store, but my manager said that since they're the same price and both Huggies, and since the register accepts them, I can use them. I have been using the Pull-Ups coupons for Goodnights for a while now, and have never had a problem, and they don't beep at the register.
cool i'll give it a try casue we used our last goodnight last night and will need some more 2 bucks off would be nice!! thanks ;)
Also, Pull-Ups has a "Night-time" training pants, but I have never seen them at my CVS. If yours carries them, those are actual "Pull-Ups" so you could definitely use the coupon on those. And they should be the same price, and just as good as GoodNights, I would imagine...
Good Luck!
yeah i used to be able to get the goodnights for my son (4) but he wets thru them now so i have to get the goodnights it stinks casue the huggies night time pull ups have more in them lol!! thanks thou ;)
