Finally! Here are my scenarios for this week, June 15 - 21

**If you're new to the CVS game this post won't make much sense to you. Go here first to read my Beginner's Guide to CVS and learn everything you need to know. Then read the rest of this post to see how I'm getting $80 worth of stuff for free at CVS this week, and you can too!

Well, all of our precious (said in a very Gollum-like voice) $3/$15 and $5/$15 coupons have expired. Lucky for me, one of my closest CVS stores takes expired CVS coupons. But what about the rest of you who aren't so fortunate??
Simple! Update your email address on your CVS online account, and voila! You'll receive you're very own $4/$20 CVS coupon, via email, to print and use to your heart's content. Now, this only works if you haven't updated your email in a while, otherwise people would be updating every week to get a new coupon. So I suggest only doing it in dire times, like these, when there are no other $/$$ coupons available.

Ok, now on to the scenarios! I made these scenarios around the $4/$20 update coupon, though I'll be using my expired $5/$15 for them.

Transaction 1:

$6.99 Almay One Coat Mascara (earns $5, limit 2)
$6.99 Alavert 12-15ct
$6.99 Alavert 12-15ct (earns $5, limit 1)

Total before coupons: $20.97

-$4/$20 update coupon
-$1 Almay (from 3/9 SS or 5/18 SS)
-$4 Alavert printable*
-$4 Alavert printable*

$7.97 after coupons, earns $10 ECBs

Transaction 2:

$7.99 Sally Hansen Nail Color Pen (earns $5, limit 5)
$5.99 Oral-B Cross Action Power Toothbrush (earns $3, limit 5)
$5.99 Oral-B Cross Action Power Toothbrush (earns $3)

Total before coupons: $19.97

-$4/$20 Update coupon
-$2 Sally Hansen* (from 3/30 SS)
-$5.99 B1G1 Oral-B Cross Action Power Toothbrush (from 6/15 SS)

$7.97 after coupons, earns $11

You can do above transaction twice if you have enough coupons!

$4.49 Tylenol 20-24ct (earns $2, limit 1)
$2.19 CVS Sunblock lotion SPF 30 2 oz

Total before coupons: $21.66

-$4/$20 Update coupon
-$1 Almay (from 3/9 SS or 5/18 SS)
-$2 Sally Hansen* (from 3/30 SS)
-$1 Tylenol printable (or from 4/6 SS or 5/4 RP)
-$2 off CVS Skincare printable

$11.66 after coupons, earns $12

This week's totals:

ECBs spent: $35.87
ECBs earned: $44.00
Spent OOP: $0, earn $8 ECBs!

A few pointers about this week's coupons:

:: You can print the Alavert coupon more than once if you fill in the form with different info in order to get a different barcode. I would keep your name the same but change everything else. It won't beep if you try to use coupons with the same barcode but the store won't get reimbursed for it. If that happens enough, stores choose not to accept internet printables anymore!

:: If you don't have enough (or any!) $2 off coupons for the Sally Hansen nail color, there is a $3/2 printable available here. You'll have to rework your deals a little bit, but you should still be able to get these free or more than free!

:: The Beauty Handbook printable coupons (Sally Hansen and the CVS Skincare) print HUGE at the default (100%) size, and will cut off part of the coupon. Reduce the print size to 50% before printing to correct this problem.

Can you use the $4/20 coupon that you receive in email more than once?

    Rachael,
This may vary depending on your store. The coupon says "one coupon per customer", and the manager at my store said that as long as I'm using only one per transaction, then he'll take it repeatedly.

I had a $2 off Alavert print at the register last week... can I stack that on the -$4 manufacturer coupon? Thanks.

    Windy,
Yes, you can stack Cash Register Tape (CRT) coupons with manufacturer coupons. Thanks for the heads up on this, I'm off to check my CRTs! :)
