My CVS scenarios for the week of 6/29

**If you're new to the CVS game this post won't make much sense to you. Go here first to read my Beginner's Guide to CVS and learn everything you need to know. Then read the rest of this post to see how I got over $115 worth of stuff for free at CVS this week, and you can too!

I have already done all of my CVS shopping for the week this week! I did 7 transactions yesterday, I did 4 small ones on the first trip in, and had a great cashier, so I went out to the car, put my purchases in the trunk, and went back in and did 3 more. I'll post pics of my loot on Saturday.

(I used my expired $5/$15 for these orders because my store accepts expired CVS coupons. If you can't use the $5/$15, you can update your email address on CVS.com and they'll email you a $4/$20 coupon that you can use. This only works if it has been a while since you updated your email address last. Also, I get a lot of comments asking whether you can use a $4/$20 update coupon more than once. My store allows me to use it repeatedly until it expires, once per transaction. This most likely varies by store. I suggest asking your manager or cashier about your stores' specific policy regarding this.)

Ok, now on to the scenarios!

Where do you get the $5/15 coupons? I used to see links on another site, but not for over a month now.

Yes where did you get the $5/15 coupons I have seen $3/15 but never $5/15. And especially how did you get so many of them??

The $5\$15 was available in the May 18 Newsday (Long Island,NY) and was available to print on their e-edition online if you are a subscriber or if you paid $18 to subscribe to the e-edition.
I have a friend who has a subscription and allowed me to sign in to his account and print the coupon to my hearts content.
The coupon expired on 6\1 and the registers at CVS no longer accept it without beeping. If your stores accept expired CVS coupons, like my store does, the cashier can push it through manually.

How do you manage to get $0 OOP everytime?

    Mama2ce-

It's actually pretty rare that my oop is $0. It's almost always less than $.50 though.
In my scenarios, I don't include tax because tax is different depending on your state, and it's just simpler and cleaner to omit it from my scenarios since you can't pay for tax using ECBs anyways. So that small amount is almost always going to be an oop cost.

Also, my scenario may leave you with a total of $9.58 after coupons, earning $10 ECBs (just a hypothetical example). I could use $9 ECBs to pay for the total, leaving me with $0.58 plus tax to pay oop, or I could add on a Hershey bar for $0.50, bringing my total to $10.08, and pay with $10 ECBs and my oop would be $0.08 plus tax. So yout oop would usually depend on the denominations you have to spend. I usually plan my scenarios around the ECB denominations I currently have, to keep my oop as little as possible.

I would most likely do the last option above, because I usually try to come out ahead or at least break even with my ECBs spent and earned, and spend the least possible amount oop.

Needless to say, we eat a lot more Hershey bars around here than any of us need (which you can usually see in my weekly loot pics). :)

For all 7 of my transactions this week, I broke 3 dollar bills, and spread them over all 7 transactions. I think I had a couple quarters and some pennies left over, so I paid less than $2.50 oop for all 7 orders!
