Freebies with coupon from Seventeen Magazine

If you've been reading the frugal blogs for a few months, you may have signed up a while back for a free subscription of Seventeen magazine. I did, and every month when it comes in the mail it goes in my recycle bin because I didn't realize how inappropriate the content would be for my 10 year old daughter. Oh well, you live and learn.
This month, however, before I threw away the magazine, I was sure to take out a coupon page first. For those without a subscription, it may be worth the price of the magazine to take advantage of these great freebies!

Here's what the coupons say:
  • Bring this page to any JcPenney store, try on a pair of jeans from the New Decree Line and get this bag FREE.
  • Bring this page to any Anchor Blue store, try on 3 pairs of jeans, and get a FREE PAIR of Iris jeans. Hurry: First 10 customers per store!
  • Stop by any American Eagle store, try on a pair of AE jeans, and get this FREE concert tee from their Summer Music Festival :New American Music Union.
  • Bring this page to any Aeropostale store, try on their Bayla jeans, and get this FREE bag with any denim purchase.
  • Bring this page to any RUE store, try on a pair of jeans, and get $5 off any single denim purchase.
  • Bring this page to any Vans store, try on a pair of jeans, and get this FREE bag with any purchase of $25 or more.

The Anchor Blue coupon is the best one, if you have a store in your area (which unfortunately we do not). But the free pair of jeans is limited to the first 10 per store, so hurry if you want in on that deal!

Instead of tossing the magazine you could donate it to a local YMCA or resell it at Half Price Books.

The YMCA is a great idea that I hadn't thought of before. I should have known better than to think that Seventeen would be appropriate for my 10 year old, in my opinion there are things in there that aren't even appropriate for 17 year olds!
I wish we had a Half Price Books near us. There aren't any in MI at all. :( Too bad, cause making money from stuff I got for free is right up my alley. :)
Thanks for the comment, and for the suggestions!
