I'm Back!

If you've stopped by this blog in the past few weeks, you may have noticed that there haven't been any new posts (and maybe you heard a few crickets, and saw a tumbleweed or two roll by).

Good news is, I'm back, and more excited than ever to be blogging again! In brief explanation, I went through a period of post partum depression, and it was difficult for me to juggle blogging with everything else that being a mom and wife requires. I needed to find a balance, so I've been going through a bit of an emotional and organizational overhaul.

I will be changing my posting schedule from here on. Here's what you can expect when you visit in the near future (our Fall line-up, if you will): New posts every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. I might (and most likely will) post on the other three days as well, but you can count on seeing new content on those set four days. Also, my Heads Up post will be moved to Tuesdays, and as always will bring you the upcoming CVS deals for the following two weeks.

To show my excitement and celebrate my return, I am implementing a new blog design today. Be patient with me as I take the next 24 hours or so to get everything up and running, and I'll be back tomorrow with Heads Up Tuesday! :)

As always, thank you for hanging in there and sticking with me. Blogging is something I truly love doing, and knowing that I have so many dedicated readers makes it all worthwhile!

I am glad you are back. I missed your posts. I am sorry you have had some postpartum depression. I was a little depressed after my 3rd child was born. I've started exercising and I think it has helped. I hope you continue to feel better each day. I look forward to reading you blog and I like the new look. Have a great day!

Thanks Amy :) Exercise does help a lot, you're right. I just recently started the "Couch to 5K" program at coolrunnings.com, and although I never ever thought I'd be a runner. it has done wonders for my mood and confidence.
Thanks again for your kind words!

i am glad you're back as well! i did the couch to 5k program on a dare about a year and a half ago and while it was really hard, it was worth it! it used to be i couldn't run at all, and now i jog a few mornings a week. hope it brings you as much balance as it does to me.

    Anne,
You're not kidding, it's HARD! But the sense of accomplishment you get after completing the daily walk/run is amazing. I'm only on my first week, but my husband just completed the program a couple of weeks ago and has been trying to get me into it since he started. When I finish, we're talking about doing organized 5K runs together.
Thanks for the encouraging words :)

I'm sooo glad you are back. I love your heads up posts. They really help me get ready for upcoming sales. The balancing act that I am doing doesn't always allow me time to do my coupon printing/gathering the week of the sale. The advance notice of the best deals saves time because I can look for 2 sets of coupons at once. I love your new look! Many thanks! -Melissa

    Hi Lavonne,
I was wondering what was going on! I've been a faithful reader for about 6 mos.now...your posts are so helpful. I, too, suffered PPD after the birth of both my boys...I wasn't able to function for about 6wks after my 2nd child, it was a very difficult time. It DOES get better with support and a plan. Hang in there :)

It's about time you get back at it! I've missed ya - I stopped by your myspace to make sure you were still OK!

Do start to join in on my fat burnin' fridays! I'm contemplating running a 5k and it would fun to have an e-friend to do this along with me!!

    Lavonne,

Good for you in not being afraid to let everyone know what's going on and to take a little time for yourself! We moms have the hardest job in the world and giving birth is a tremendous life event. I'm glad you're back, and that you've scaled back to get your schedule in line with what's right for you right now. *hug*
