My CVS scenarios for the week of June 22

**If you're new to the CVS game this post won't make much sense to you. Go here first to read my Beginner's Guide to CVS and learn everything you need to know. Then read the rest of this post to see how I'm getting $75 worth of stuff for free at CVS this week, and you can too!

I wasn't too excited about the deals this week, but I do need some paper towels, so I'm glad to see the Bounty deal again. The rest of the stuff is just fluff, because I really don't need much of it.

Our small group at church this week announced that they'll be collecting personal care items for military members overseas over the next two weeks, so I'm overjoyed to have a full stockpile with which to draw from, and excited to see my frugality in action blessing others in need!

(Do you think the soldiers would like SoyJoy bars, or would that just be cruel? lol)

Soy Joy bars are delicious compared to MREs!

I LOVE that you post upcoming deals two weeks in advance!

Quick question though: I thought the toothbrushes had to be a twin pack (PSA at 4.99)?

    Sarah,
    I think you're right!
The wording on the ad totally confused me. Even when I just went back to double check, I thought you only had to buy one.
Thanks for correcting me on this!

Dang, I was hoping you were right. I went to my CVS to check it out, and they were 4.99 for the twin pack. However, they FINALLY had the Crossactions in stock (I've been stalking them since they ran out...literally June 3rd-ish) AND I got a 3/15 CRT!!!!! So I still got 8 toothbrushes free after ECB's and a CRT!

Quick question: the CRT doesn't say I have to hand it over, or that it's only good once. So does that mean I can ask for it back and use it again and again for the next two weeks?!? Pleasepleaseplease!

I'm pretty sure that if you asked for your CRT back, they'd look at you like you had two heads. lol
    And then tell you no.
But I have never tried it. If you try it and it works out for you, let me know!

    Newbie here :-)
You had the 4/20 update in each of the scenarios, does this mean it is okay to use it more than once???

My CVS allows me to use the $4/$20 update coupon once per transaction. This would depend on your store's policy.
The register will allow it more than once per card.
If your store won't allow you to use it more than once, you can take it to another store and use it there, if you more than one near you.
We have one every couple of miles around here, but I know some areas aren't so fortunate.

I wonder why you could use a 4/20 more than once (I assume you ask for it back), but not a $3/15, when it doesn't say anywhere on it that it has to be surrendured or that it's only good once.

    Sarah-
No, I don't ask for it back, I just print multiple copies. I do that with all my printable coupons that CVS mails me or that are available online.
    I rarely get $/$$ CRTs, I don't know why.

Ooh, that makes sense. So if you're lucky enough to get something in the (regular) mail, do you photocopy it too? Why didn't I think of printing multiple copies?!?

    Sarah-
No, photocopying coupons is considered fraud, and I wouldn't do it, nor would I endorse any of my readers doing it. It is easy enough to get great deals and free stuff at CVS by following the rules and staying above board where coupon usage is concerned.
Being a Christian, if there's ever a question in my mind about whether or not something is ethical or allowed at my store, I just ask the manager. He is very coupon-friendly, and he and I have a great rapport. I'm lucky in that way, because I have read that others don't have stores that are as welcoming and encouraging to coupon-savvy shoppers.

I also wondered about the Oral B wording and I had just went ahead and bought them on Sunday... then I saw that I didn't get the ECB's. So after reading the flyer very carefully (the wording & picture makes it difficult to decipher) - I decided to call in because the wording says "1 Oral B toothbrush." That's what I bought - they said that they'd get back with me... hmmmm we'll see what happens.

It was a 3.49 Oral B stages toothbrush that I used a bogo coupon to get 2 of them - I had hoped to get $4 ECB's. If they say no go - I'll just return the toothbrushes and ask for a return on my giftcard seeing as my total oop was way less than 3.49 but then I don't get my coupon back....
